Group Care

Group Care

Our Group Care provides a safe and secure environment. We provide a home that support clients’ needs culturally, emotionally and physically, spiritually, helping them develop & maintain contact with their family and peers. Every child is unique and therefore every care plan is developed to meet the needs of the child/ youth.

The Group Homes:

  • Provide a safe, consistent, nurturing, family-like environment to the child/youth in-care in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner.
  • Facilitate holistic, integrated programming that assesses and meets the individual needs of child/youth in-care while fostering the development of self-esteem, pride in culture and educational achievement.
  • Advocate for the best interests of the child/youth in-care.
  • Act as a connection between the child/youth, the Family, Child and Youth Services and the community to promote a safe, nurturing environment for the child/youth.
  • Assist with the stabilization of the child/youth and preparation for reintegration into the family and/or to other placements.
